This Privacy Policy describes how Photo to Text (“Photo to Text,” “we,” “our” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares information in connection with your use of our websites (including photototext.ai), services, and applications (collectively, the “Services”).

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information You Provide

Account Registration. When you sign in (for example with Google), we may receive your name, email address, and profile image.
Payment Information. When you purchase credits or a subscription, payment details are processed by our Merchant of Record, Subotiz. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems. We may retain order identifiers, product SKUs, amounts, and status needed for billing support.
Communications. If you contact us, we may receive your email address and the contents of your message.

Information Related to OCR Jobs

Guest conversions. Guest use of the converter is designed so that conversion results are not kept in an account history after the session. We do not maintain a guest Results archive.
Signed-in Results. If you are signed in and save OCR batches, we may store job metadata and associated image/result data so you can revisit Results. You can delete Results yourself at any time. If you do not delete them, they are typically cleared automatically after about 14 days.
Advanced processing. When you use Advanced OCR, images may be uploaded to our storage and processed by our OCR providers to return text. We use this data to deliver the feature, prevent abuse, and operate the service.

Information Collected Automatically

Like most websites, we may automatically collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and approximate timestamps. We may use cookies or similar technologies for session and preference purposes.

2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use information to provide and improve the Services, process payments, authenticate accounts, prevent fraud and abuse, communicate about your account, and comply with law.

3. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION

We may share information with service providers who help us operate the Services (for example hosting, payment processing via Subotiz, and OCR processing partners). We may also share information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Photo to Text and our users. We do not sell personal information.

4. DATA RETENTION

Guest conversion results are not retained as account history. Signed-in OCR Results and related files can be deleted by you at any time; if left in place, they are generally cleared automatically after about 14 days. Account, billing, and ledger records may be kept longer as needed for accounting, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.

5. SECURITY

We take reasonable measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal data, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us at support@photototext.ai. You may also sign out and stop using the Services at any time.

7. CHILDREN

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

We may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we take steps to protect transfers in accordance with applicable law.

9. CHANGES

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated policy.
