- Does this use OCR?
- No. It only reads the PDF text layer already embedded in the file. Empty pages usually mean a scan — use Bank statement to Excel or PDF to Excel for those.
- Do my statement files leave this device?
- For this checker, processing runs in your browser. We do not upload the PDF to run the text-layer scan.
- What if every page is empty?
- That PDF is likely image-based. Continue with Bank statement to Excel or Invoice to Excel to extract rows with OCR.
- Can I download the text?
- Yes. When searchable pages exist, download a TXT file of the combined text layer.
